What is stored

Two kinds of data: mail in the mailboxes we host for you, and the messages people submit through the contact form, which are delivered into our own mailbox.

Where it is stored

Everything runs on a single mail server, located in Canada. There is no redundancy or failover — it is one server, not a cluster.

Who can access it

Your mail is stored encrypted at rest, though the key is held on the same server, so the operator retains technical access for support and troubleshooting. Encryption at rest protects the mail if a disk or a backup archive leaves our control; it is not a barrier between you and the operator. This is a small, personally-run service, not a company with an access policy layered between you and your mail.

Mail is not scanned for advertising, profiling, or model training.

The website itself

Cloudflare fronts this website and, as a result, sees request metadata for page views (things like IP address and requested URL) before traffic reaches our server. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell human visitors from bots; Turnstile runs in your browser when you load that page.

This site sets no cookies of its own and does not use analytics. Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, may set a cookie of its own for bot protection.

Backups

Backups run nightly and are kept for seven days; a restore was last verified on 2026-08-18, checking recovered messages byte-for-byte against the live mailbox. They are written to the same server that holds the mail, so they cover deletion, corruption and a bad upgrade — not loss of the host itself.

Export and deletion

You can export your mail over IMAP at any time. If you ask us to delete it, we will.
